A auction and country breakfast sponsored by a Sumner couple raised more than $1,300 Friday at the Bonney Lake Senior Center. Jake and Sandi Knaus organized and funded the July 31 event to raise funds to support the many programs and services provided by the senior center. Senior Services Assistant Staci Guirsch said the couple spent six weeks gathering donations and shopping for items. She said they purchases all the food for the seniors’ country breakfast of biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and fresh fruit.

Wayne Johnson served as auctioneer for the event.
