Green River class on Mexico explores how America is impacted by its neighbor

Green River Community College’s Prime Time Institute program for mature learners is offering a class, Mexico: War and Trouble in Our Back Yard?, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, April 27, May 4 and May 11 at the Enumclaw campus, 1414 Griffin Ave.

Green River Community College’s Prime Time Institute program for mature learners is offering a class, Mexico: War and Trouble in Our Back Yard?, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Tuesdays, April 27, May 4 and May 11 at the Enumclaw campus, 1414 Griffin Ave.

GRCC faculty member Richard Elfers will be instructing this course. Participants will learn about drug wars, corruption, revolts, crime, poverty, swine flu, petroleum wealth and international relations that possibly threaten, influence, and impact life in America.

Elfers, a retired Sumner School District social studies teacher, also serves on the Enumclaw City Council.

Prime Time member fees will be $39; non-member fees will be $65. Prime Time’s annual membership fees are $75 for individuals and $125 for couples.
