Christy Harlan, an executive assistant to the head of a Texas-based company, is to be married to Ken Kaplan, a pilot in the United States Navy.

Christy Harlan, an executive assistant to the head of a Texas-based company, is to be married to Ken Kaplan, a pilot in the United States Navy.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Robert and Kathy Knott of Enumclaw. The groom-elect is the son of Larry and Francine Kaplan of Silverdale, Wash.

A spring wedding is planned.
