Hit and run on Church Lake Drive | Bonney Lake Police Blotter

Officers responded to a residence on Church Lake Drive to the report of a hit and run. The reporting party told officers her neighbor hit her car and then left the scene.

September 2

Vandalism: Officers responded to the report of vandalism in a new neighborhood that is currently under construction. The reporting party told officers sheet rock mud was poured into the tub and on the floor and was smeared on the walls of a number of homes in the development. At the time of the report, there was no further action taken.

August 31

Domestic Dispute: Officers responded to a residence after an anonymous call regarding screaming, crying and breaking glass coming from a neighbors house. Once officers arrived, they asked dispatch to look up the address and license plate of the vehicle parked outside. They spoke with the owner of the vehicle who was not home but was the boyfriend of the lady inside the home. Officers spoke with her and she said they had been fighting earlier and the breaking of the glass was a bowl she threw after he had left for work. There was no physical altercation and no further action was taken.

Hit and Run: Officers responded to a residence on Church Lake Drive to the report of a hit and run. The reporting party told officers her neighbor hit her car and then left the scene. She also said when she tried to speak with her neighbor about the damage, he was uncoorperative and claimed the damage was not from him or his vehicle. Once he returned, officers returned to the scene and compared the damage on both cars. There was obvious paint transfer from his vehicle to the reporting party’s vehicle. Officers issued a citation for hit and run and also an infraction for no proof of insurance.

August 30

Burglary: Officers responded to the report of a burglary and were told by dispatch the suspect was still at the scene. When they arrived, officers first spoke with the suspect who was sitting outside. He said he sold a TV to the home owner for $100 but had only received $75. He was there to collect the remaining money and when the owner wouldn’t pay it, the suspect went looking for the TV. When he couldn’t find it, he took the owner’s guitar instead. The owner decided to press charges and the suspect was transported to the Pierce County Jail and booked for residential burglary.
