Nov. 28

Shoplifting: At approximately 7:40 p.m., officers responded to the report of shoplifting in progress at a state Route 410 retail store. Asset protection employees attempted to apprehend the subject but he resisted and a scuffle ensued. Two of his friends also engaged in the altercation. No one was significantly injured. The subject was arrested for theft in the third degree. One of his friends was trespassed from the store but the other was not found at the scene.

Dec. 8

Disorderly Conduct: At about 1:20 a.m., officers were dispatched to a domestic violence report. The reporting person, a female subject, reported her boyfriend physically assaulted her and left the scene on foot. Officers were unable to locate the boyfriend.

Burglary: A resident of 191st Avenue East called to report a home burglary. The thief entered through the unlocked garage door and stole several items. There was no suspect information available.

Dec. 10

License Suspended: An officer conducted a traffic stop after noticing a vehicle with a defective brake light. At contact, the driver was found to be in possession of a suspended driver’s license. He was issued a criminal citation and transported to Puyallup jail. The vehicle was impounded.

Dec. 11

Stolen Rx: A person reported their identity was used to obtain a prescription from a SR 410 pharmacy. Video surveillance of the suspect was forwarded to investigations for further follow up.

Warrant: At about 11 p.m., an officer was dispatched to a Sumner hotel for a warrant meet with Washington State Patrol. The subject was transported to Puyallup jail.

Dec. 12

Explosive Conversation: Officers were dispatched to a SR 410 retail store on the report a customer was talking about making a bomb and purchasing products which may be used to do so. Upon contact, the subject was determined not to be a threat and was released after being permanently trespassed from the store.

Shoplifting: An officer responded to the report of a subject who stole two bottles of alcohol from a SR 410 store. The subject fled the scene and officers were unable to locate him.

Warrant: Officers responded to a SR 410 grocery store, where a person reported a possible drunk driver. Upon contact, the driver did not appear to be intoxicated, but he did  possess two arrest warrants. He was arrested and booked in to Enumclaw jail.

Dec. 13

Vehicle Prowl: A person reported a theft from his vehicle while it was parked at his place of employment on SR 410. The vehicle was left unlocked, but the suspect broke the window out regardless. There was no suspect information or video surveillance available.

False Statement: Officers stopped a vehicle with a cracked windshield and no license plates. Upon contact, the driver began crying and complained of stomach pains. She provided a false identity and didn’t retrieve her license or insurance. Upon further questioning, she provided an accurate ID, which revealed a suspended drivers license and four arrest warrants. She was released at the scene for transport to an area hospital by East Pierce Fire & Rescue. She was issued three criminal citations and the case was forwarded to the prosecutor.

Dec. 14

Bicycle Theft: A resident of Myers Road East called to report the theft of a bicycle from her back porch. There was no suspect information available.

Defective Taillights: A vehicle was pulled over due to defective taillights. Upon contact, the driver was confirmed to possess a suspended license and warrant for arrest. He was booked in to Enumclaw jail and the vehicle was released to his spouse.

Emphasis Patrol: A Bonney Lake officer on a multi-jurisdictional DUI emphasis patrol conducted a traffic stop on Pacific Highway East. The vehicle was swerving and traveling about 15 to 20 miles per hour under the speed limit. At contact, the driver was visibly impaired and the vehicle smelled of intoxicants. The subject registered over the legal limit in a voluntary breath test. He was arrested for DUI and transported to Fife Police Department.

Dec. 15

Suspended License: At about 2:15 a.m., an officer ran the license plate of a vehicle traveling eastbound on SR 410. The check revealed a suspended license for the vehicle’s registered owner. At contact, the driver initially denied being the owner but upon further questioning, admitted he lied. He was issued citations for driving while license suspended in the third degree and making a false statement to a public servant.
