Juveniles set off improvised explosives | Black Diamond Police Blotter

EXPLOSIONS: At approximately 4 p.m. April 13, officers were dispatched to sounds of gunfire to the east of Southeast 329th Street. They found two King County deputies already on the scene who had taken two male juveniles in custody after witnessing the juveniles lighting improvised explosive devices. The juveniles were planning on videotaping the explosions. They were transported to the police department, given verbal warnings and released to their parents.

SPLITTER STOLEN: Between the hours of noon and 3 p.m. April 17, a resident on 5th Avenue had his log splitter stolen from his driveway.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: At approximately 5:54 p.m. April 11, officers were dispatched to a case of domestic violence in progress in the 24400 block of Terrace Place. Upon arrival, the mother of a 17-year-old boy told officers she and her son had been in an argument throughout the day that turned into a physical altercation causing the her to suffer a bloody nose and abrasions. The son left the residence before officers arrived. An area check ended with no results. Officers saw the boy walking down the road the next morning and arrested and booked him into King County Juvenile Detention for fourth-degree assault/domestic violence.
