Councilmembers will proclaim January 11, 2013 as Human Trafficking Awareness Day in King County.

–The Council will honor the vision and work of The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by proclaiming the month of January as Rev. Dr. Martin

Luther King, Jr. month in King County.

 

 

–Councilmembers will recognize Bob Ferguson for his service to King County as the Councilmember for District 1

 

Councilmembers are scheduled to discuss and possibly act on:

Ordinances authorizing contract agreements between King County and School Districts for school resource officer law enforcement services:

·       Northshore School District No. 417 (Ordinance 2012-0428).

·       Lake Washington School District No. 414 (Ordinance 2012-0429).

·       Tahoma School District No. 409 (Ordinance 2012-0430).

Transportation, Economy and Environment Committee – 9:30 a.m.

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

·       A motion confirming membership to the Advisory Committee on Mobility as an element of the health and human services agency safety net to assist in the development of new regional public transportation fare programs (Motion 2013-0032).

·       An ordinance relating to King County’s long-term combined sewer overflow control plan and authorizing the County Executive to sign and fulfill the obligations in a consent decree with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and Washington state Department of Ecology (Ordinance 2012-0459).

 

Briefing:

 

·       Update on Strategic Plan for Public Transportation (Briefing No. 2013-B0001).

 

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 1:30 p.m.
