Lake Tapps swim advisory lifted, now open | Tacoma – Pierce County Health Department

Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department has lifted the "No Swimming" Caution Advisory for the enclosed dock area at Allan Yorke Park since bacteria levels have decreased below levels of public health concern.

Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department has lifted the “No Swimming” Caution Advisory for the enclosed dock area at Allan Yorke Park since bacteria levels have decreased below levels of public health concern.

The Health Department advised to not swim in the lake last Friday, July 22, due to high levels of bacteria found in the water that showed an increased risk of gastrointestinal illness.
