Executive Director Lora Butterfield used her home as a temporary office for the Bonney Lake Chamber of Commerce.

But now, the Chamber office is housed in a business along state Route 410.

Butterfield said the Chamber is leasing a space inside the Harborstone Credit Union, 20608 SR 410. The office will be open 1 to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

“The big advantage is a place for people to come and get information on our chamber and tourists visiting the area,” Butterfield said. “We are the gateway to Mount Rainier.”

For the past year, Butterfield said, the chamber has been looking at a building to rent or lease.

“When you’re a small chamber, paying $4,000 a month is too much,” she explained. “Harborstone offered us a space and suggested we come here for a year.”

She said after the year, the chamber can renew the agreement or find another office space.

“It was a very good deal we couldn’t pass up,” Butterfield added.

In front of the office, there is a visitor’s center with brochures from throughout the region and state on attractions and festivals.

A grand opening is planned for 5 to 7 p.m. April 16.
