A 29-year-old University Place male died from injuries received in a motorcycle accident Sunday in Sumner.

Domingo D. Cuevas was riding his 2004 Honda motorcycle eastbound when he lost control and went into the median at state Route 410 and state Route 162 about 1 p.m., according to Washington State Patrol.

An American Medical Response unit, which was traveling in Sumner, stopped to provide assistance to the motorcyclist. He was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he later died, according to Teresa McCallion, spokesperson for East Pierce Fire and Rescue.

Cuevas was wearing a helmet, according to WSP.
