ORIGINAL POST:

Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is hoping locals can help identify a man who took out fraudulent loans and bought an Enumclaw Powersports ATV last month.

According to law enforcement, an unidentified older-looking man in a black cowboy hat, glasses, a brown vest jacket, blue shirt, jeans, and brown boots/shoes bought an ATV from Enumclaw Powersports on Feb. 4, using the identity of an Upper Kittitas County resident.

The same man also appears to have taken out some loans.

All together, the damage totals to nearly $45,000.

The man drove off in a white Chevy Tahoe with a disabled left rear backup light; the right backup light reportedly flashes irregularly, and could also be burnt out at this time.

Anyone with information about the man, vehicle, or incident can contact Kittitas County 911/KITTCOM at (509) 925-8534 to reach Detective Andrea Blume. The case number is S23-01709.

It is now believed the suspect also used the identify of another Kittitas County resident on March 10 to defraud a jewelry store and a credit union in Olympia. Photo courtesy Kittitas County Sheriff's Office
