SHOPLIFTING: Police were alerted at 10:25 p.m. Aug. 15 following a shoplifting incident at a Monroe Avenue business. A suspect was located, taken into custody and booked for both theft and possession of stolen property. Everyone associated with the incident was ordered to stay away from the business.

ODD BEHAVIOR: Police responded to Cole Street at 7:49 a.m. Aug. 15 after hearing of a man who was kicking and pounding on the doors and windows of downtown businesses. After being contacted and counseled, the man agreed to go home.

WELFARE CHECK: An officer responded to a Roosevelt Avenue address the afternoon of Aug. 15 after hearing of several children, all younger than 3, left unattended in a vehicle. Their mother was contacted and counseled.

VEHICLE PROWL: An officer responded at 1:48 p.m. Aug. 14 to a Myrtine Street address and a call of a vehicle prowl in progress. The homeowner was contacted and it was determined nothing was taken, no damage was done to the vehicle and there were no immediate suspects.

TOO LOUD: Following a second complaint, at officer responded at 4:02 a.m. Aug. 14 to a Myrtine Street residence. A party at the home had generated an earlier noise complaint so the subjects were advised that the festivities should be shut down and arrests would be made if a third response was necessary.

VEHICLE THEFT: A citizen arrived at the police station lobby the afternoon of Aug. 14, reporting a vehicle had been stolen from a Roosevelt Avenue address. A report was entered into the state’s criminal information center.

THEFT ALLEGED: A caller told police Aug. 14 someone had entered a motor home parked at the Enumclaw Expo Center during Creation Fest and taken medication and miscellaneous jewelry.

TRAFFIC CONTROL: Police were called the morning of Aug. 13 to provide traffic control around the scene of a working fire. The incident was on 264th Avenue Southeast.
