The first annual Mayor’s Food Drive will be held at 7 a.m. on Dec. 11.

DM Disposal employees will be collecting food donations at that time, and donations will be given to the Bread of Life Food Bank of Bonney Lake. Food donations should be placed by the garbage cart.

The pickup is separate from normal disposal service.

DM Disposal is asking for non-perishable food items only, including canned fruits and vegetables, canned tuna, canned meats, pop-topped canned meals and peanut butter in plastic jars.

If rain is forecasted for Dec. 11, DM Disposal also asks for donors to not leave boxed food items on the curb, and instead consider a drop-off at the Bonney Lake Food bank.
