King County Metro Transit began a major service change Saturday that, for Enumclaw bus riders, will result in a revision to Route 152 and new service via Route 915. Overall, this particular service change features many transit revisions in South King County, including a new bus route to employment areas around Sea-Tac International Airport.

Metro updates its routes and scheduling three times a year in February, June and September with the goal of improving service and keeping up with the changing needs of transit passengers. Bus passengers should pick up a new orange timetable to see if there are any changes for the routes they regularly use. The overview in the &#8220Special Rider Alert” brochure can also help customers decide if there are new connections or service that would improve your travel options.

Here are the highlights of the service changes for Enumclaw-area residents:

€ Revised Route 152 and new Route 915

Route 152 has been shortened to operate between the Auburn commuter rail station and downtown Seattle, while Route 915 now provides the fixed-route service between Enumclaw and Auburn. In addition to regular weekday midday service, four of the Route 915 trips from Enumclaw in the morning and four return trips in the afternoon are scheduled to connect with Sounder trains at Auburn Station.
