COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: An officer was flagged down the morning of June 20 by a restaurant owner who said the business had been burglarized. Entry to the Roosevelt Avenue establishment was gained by someone who broke a window with a rock. Computer equipment was taken.

HOME BURGLARIES: King County authorities notified city police at 2 p.m. June 20 of a burglary that had just occurred at a residence on 182nd Avenue Southeast. The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s, wearing a blue shirt and orange and white cap; he fled in a black Toyota hatchback. At 9:19 p.m., police responded to a burglary at a Burger Place residence. The victim advised she was too upset to compile a list of missing items, but would provide a list the following day. There were no immediate suspects.

VEHICLE, SHED PROWL: A resident of Carbon Ridge Street told police June 20 a vehicle had been prowled and a shed was broken into the previous night. A police contact with the victim was unsuccessful, but the victim agreed to meet at the police station the following morning.

THREE CALLS: The manager of a Battersby Avenue apartment complex called police just after 11 a.m. June 20, reporting a known subject was outside the office, yelling and creating a disturbance. Officers responded and honored the manager’s request that the man be ordered to stay away from the property. Abut a half-hour later, the apartment manager called police a second time, reporting that the man was now across the street, yelling at an apartment resident who was concerned for her safety. Police responded and were told the man’s father would taken him to a residence outside the city limits. An hour later, the apartment manager called for a third time, reporting the man was still on this sidewalk, screaming at apartment residents and his father. The subject was gone when police arrived.

ASKED TO LEAVE: The King County Sheriff’s Office reported a disconnected 911 call had been made about 12:30 a.m. June 20 from a Roosevelt Avenue address. Enumclaw officers identified three subjects who had been involved in a verbal dispute and all three were asked to leave the establishment. Officers stood by until they departed.

WITHOUT PERMISSION: During a traffic stop at 2:50 a.m. June 20, it was discovered the juvenile driver had taken his grandparents’ car without permission. Other juveniles were picked up by their parents. The vehicle was released to a registered owner.

TWO CHARGES: A June 18 report of a suspicious vehicle in a Semakski Street parking lot resulted in one person booked for possession of drug paraphernalia and obstructing an officer. The vehicle was impounded.

DISTURBANCE: An officer was dispatched June 17 to a Randall Place address and found a domestic dispute taking place in the middle of the street. The man involved in the dispute was arrested for fourth-degree assault and interfering with a police report. He was taken to the police station for booking.

NO BURGLARY: Police took a second-hand report June 16 of a residential burglary in progress at a Harmony Lane address. Nothing was amiss inside the home. It appeared that at least three juvenile males had slept in the garage and exited through a garage window. All was gone when police arrived.

ANIMAL ISSUE: A citizen called police the morning of June 15, concerned that a large, aggressive dog had injured another dog; the animals were fenced in a single backyard. An officer responded and could observe no injuries. It was noted the larger dog was very aggressive, bit at the officer through the fence and tried to jump the fence. Information was forwarded to King County Animal Control, which advised an officer would be dispatched to investigate. The following day, the dogs’ owner called police, advising that the dogs would be separated while he is at work.

MORE ANIMALS: Two dogs, reported to be “pit bull types” were reported running loose at 11 a.m June 15 in the vicinity of Cole Street and Chinook Avenue. An officer located the animals and found a neighborhood resident had contained the animals in her front yard until King County Animal Control could arrive.

ANOTHER ANIMAL CONCERN: Police were told June 15 by a Charwila Lane resident of a dog being kept in a neighboring apartment that gets loose and bites people. The reporting parties said they had been bitten and, on the day of the report, a child had been bitten. An officer contacted the dog’s owner and advised that the animal must be kept inside or on a leash.  Information was forwarded to King County Animal Control.

ASSAULT CHARGE: An assault occurred the afternoon of June 15 at Enumclaw High School. One person was taken into custody for fourth-degree assault and second-degree criminal trespass. The victim was evaluated by medical personnel but not transported. The suspect was taken to the police station for processing and later released.

NO PROBLEMS: An officer was flagged down at approximately midnight June 14 by a citizen who reported juveniles were hanging around St. Elizabeth Hospital and causing problems. The officer contacted several juveniles at the hospital, but found nothing out of line. They were waiting for a friend to arrive at the facility.
