If you’re traveling on Interstate 90 over Snoqualmie Pass next week, plan to go before the one-hour rock blasting closure or wait it out.

The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews are closing the pass from 6 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, through Thursday, Oct. 11, from Hyak (milepost 54) to the Price Creek Sno-Park (milepost 61).

Drivers should also plan for added travel time Monday through Friday due to increased construction activity and rolling slowdowns. Exit 54 westbound is currently open, but drivers should anticipate temporary closures of the ramp throughout the week.

Just a reminder that the automated speed-enforcement cameras is monitoring speeds through the five-mile work zone on I-90. Drivers traveling over the posted speed of 60 mph could be issued a $137 fine.
