Opening Night: ‘Beauty and the Beast’ tonight at the Old Cannery

Ascension Theatre Productions is preparing for “Beauty and the Beast,” open tonight, Friday, at the Old Cannery Furniture Warehouse in Sumner.

This is the third show from the Sumner-based theater group.

This musical rendering of the classic Grimm Fairy Tale will delight the entire family. See all the characters you remember and love — and meet some new ones. And will Sam the dog ever get a rest?  Ascension promises a night so filled with entertainment that you might have to see it twice!

Showtimes are set for 7 p.m. April 29 and May 6 and 6 p.m. April 30 and May 7 with a special matinee show at 2 p.m. May 8. Mothers will receive a free gift during the Sunday performance in honor of Mother’s Day.
