Martin has served in several Washington communities – Blaine, Mountlake Terrace, Port Angeles and Seattle – as well as Anchorage and Myrtle Point, Ore.

The pastor is a graduate of Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne, Ind., and Concordia Theological Seminary in Springfield, Ill.

Martin grew up in Fargo, N.D., and served three years in the Army Security Agency prior to entering the ministry.

Martin’s wife Patti teaches second grade at Voyager Elementary School in Gig Harbor. The couple have five adult children.

“Ministry to the needs of the local community is a high priority,” Martin said in a press release, “and we want to be recognized as a family-friendly church, welcoming people of all different backgrounds.”
