Tiny Tots Indoor Playground Reopens for the School Year (Ages 5 and under)
Bring your child to our Tiny Tots Indoor Playground for fun, socialization, and crafts! Kids will delight in the opportunity to run, jump, climb, and explore in this safe environment while creating fun with oodles of toys and space. Parents are required to supervise their children at all times, maximum of three children per adult.
The Tiny Tots Playground is located at the Lakewood Community Center for children ages five and under. The playground is open on Tuesday and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. The first session is from September 9 to October 2, and the second session is from Oct. 7 to Oct. 30. The cost is two dollars for a drop in session per child, eight dollars per session for one class a week, and $16 per session for two classes a week.
Brick 4 Kidz After School Classes Now Taking Registrations (Ages 5 – 13)
Bricks 4 Kidz offers fun, hands on programs where kids can learn, build, and play with LEGO® bricks. Our specially designed project kits and theme-based models provide the building blocks for the Bricks 4 Kidz approach to educational play. Bricks 4 Kidz provides an enriching atmosphere where kids can develop their curiosity and creativity, while having fun and socializing in a non-competitive atmosphere.
Our after school program classes explore architecture, engineering and technology concepts using LEGO®bricks. Students participate in 5 week sessions focused on exciting themes including Space, Inventions, Famous Buildings, and Natural Disasters. Classes follow the Bricks 4 Kidz® motto: We Learn, We Build, We Play with… LEGO® Bricks. Every student takes home a custom mini figure at end of each session.
The Bricks 4 Kidz event will be held both at Frontier Park and Chambers Creek Regional Park. Both events cost $59.

Friday in September It’s Kidz Night Out with Brick 4 Kidz (Ages 5 – 13)
We have a special evening planned for your children! A fun filled evening of motorized model building with LEGO® bricks. Children will use their creativity to design and build their own models, as well as build with our plans of over 160 different motorized model builds. Featuring motorized builds for all of the following themes: Amusement Park Rides, Famous Buildings, Forces of Nature, Spectacular Sports, Interesting Inventions, Laws of Motion, Space Adventure, Energy is Everywhere, Construction Craze, Amazing Animals – and many more.
Your children will also engage in challenges, games, and creative open play – all supervised by our professional staff. This will be an evening of fun your children will not forget! Pizza and drinks for each child are provided.
This event well be held on Sept. 26 from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Meridian Habitat Park & Community Center. Fees are $25 for the first child, $15 for a second child, and 5 dollars for each additional child. Pre-registration required. Space is limited.
Crystal Mountain Gondola Ride (Ages 50 and over)
The gondola ride at Crystal Mountain will whisk you to the top of the world to see the spectacular views of the Cascades and Mt. Rainier. It’s an unforgettable journey where you travel almost 2,500 feet over the alpine terrain in less than 10 minutes. We will stop for lunch at the top and take in the views before heading back down. The $61 fee includes ticket and lunch is on your own at the Summit House. Summit House will provide a group to menu purchases off of. The gondola ride is on Sept. 17 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Green River Trail Hike (Ages 50 and over)
Relax and enjoy a pleasant stroll along a river in south King County near Kent. A 19-mile paved trail with soft shoulders runs from south Seattle to Auburn, passing through a variety of landscapes, we’ll walk one of quarter segments, connecting some parklands and natural resource areas. Benches for resting are located frequently along the trails. Total walking: 3-5 miles. Elevation gain is minimal.
The hike will be held on Sept. 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will cost $28.
