The Washington State Department of Transportation announced that pavement repair requires closing the Traffic Avenue overpass at state Route 410 and multiple ramps in Sumner this week.

Crews close the following between 8:30 p.m. Sept. 17 and 6 a.m. Sept. 18:

• Traffic Avenue overpass at SR 410.

• Eastbound SR 410 on- and off-ramps at Traffic Avenue.

• Southbound SR 167 ramp to eastbound SR 410. Detour route is via Valley Avenue, to northbound SR 167 and back to SR 410.

• Right lane on the northbound SR 167 ramp to eastbound SR 410.

The westbound SR 410 on- and off-ramps remain open at Traffic Avenue. However, motorists won’t be able to cross the Traffic Avenue overpass.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.

Maintenance crews will be grinding out and replacing old pavement to provide a smoother roadway surface.
