Pierce County Council schedules in-district meetings in three communities

The Pierce County Council will hold upcoming meetings in Graham, North Tacoma and Parkland as part of its practice of taking government on the road.

The Pierce County Council will hold upcoming meetings in Graham, North Tacoma and Parkland as part of its practice of taking government on the road.

The Council, which normally meets Tuesdays in its chambers in the County-City Building in downtown Tacoma, holds at least one meeting a year in each of the seven Council districts, as required by the Pierce County Charter.

Here are the upcoming “in-district” meetings:

 

April 30:

6 p.m., Pierce County Fire District No. 21 – Graham Fire and Rescue, 23014 70th Ave. E, Graham

This meeting will be hosted by District 3 Councilmember Jim McCune.

May 21:

5:30 p.m., Anna Lemon Wheelock Library, 3722 N. 26th St., Tacoma.

This meeting will be hosted by District 7 Councilmember Stan Flemming.

May 28:

5 p.m., Garfield Community Room, Pacific Lutheran University, 208 Garfield St. S, Tacoma (Parkland).

This meeting will be hosted by District 6 Councilmember Doug Richardson.

Meetings for the remaining four districts will be announced as dates are confirmed.
