Enumclaw resident Ashley Kenney was one of 13 graduating teachers from the University of Portland’s Pacific Alliance for Catholic Education program. A graduation ceremony took place Aug. 5 in a ceremony in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher on the University of Portland campus in Portland, Ore.

The PACE program is a two-year graduate service-training program through the University of Portland. PACE teachers earn graduate degrees in education as they take university courses and teach in under-resourced Catholic schools.
