Plateau police blotter | Aug. 8 – 21

Crime reports in Enumclaw, Buckley, and Black Diamond.

BUCKLEY

Aug. 12

– Officers were called to Cothary Street to a domestic violence report around 4:52 p.m. A woman was arrested for assaulting her husband.

Aug. 13

– Police responded to a vehicle collision involving a sedan and box truck on SR 410 around 12:49 a.m. The female sedan driver was found to be at-fault; she showed signs of impairment and was arrested. It was later found she was twice over the legal limit.

Aug. 14

– Officers were called out to a SR 410 business around 9:31 a.m. for an unwanted female subject who refused to show employees her I.D. When employees asked her to leave, she attempted to run around and hide behind furniture.

– Police spotted a wanted individual riding his bike on Ryan Road around 10:48 a.m. The man told officers he would allow himself to be arrested if he was booked into the Enumclaw jail.

– Officers were dispatched to 2nd Street to a report of a male subject with a gunshot wound. Police determined the man was dead on arrival. An investigation was conducted and the body transported to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s office.

Aug. 21

– Police were dispatched to a report of shots on South River Avenue around 8:48 a.m. On scene, officers contacted neighbors who confirmed shots were fired from a nearby man’s home; one person said the man appeared intoxicated and showed them a gun in his waistband before the gunshots were heard. Police could see the man through his window; he was ordered to exit and was detained. He had no injuries, and officers could not locate any victims or find any bullet holes in nearby units. The man denied firing the gun, and police could not find any evidence that he had done so.

ENUMCLAW

Aug. 11

– Police received a mail theft report off Florence Street around 3:38 p.m. Turns out the reporting party’s family had the mail in question.

– Officers were dispatched to Garret Street around 4:42 p.m. to a report of two subjects doing drugs in a parking lot. The subjects were trespassed.

– Police responded to a verbal fight between six subjects in a Chinook Avenue parking lot around 7:13 p.m. The parties were counseled and referred to management.

– Officers were dispatched to Watson Street around 11:14 p.m. to a report of an intoxicated individual. The subject told officers he was fine and was just walking.

Aug. 12

– A Riggs Drive resident asked for extra patrols due to illegal trash dumping and egging.

– Police found a dog on Roosevelt Avenue around 5:57 a.m. Officers were able to contact a nearby resident and was told of the dog’s home, where it was returned.

– Two people were seen entering a portable toilet together on Semanski Street around 12:28 p.m. The subjects were trespassed.

– Officers received a fight report on Farrelly Street around 7:13 p.m. One subject said there wasn’t a fight and he just fell.

– Police received a stolen vehicle report around 7:36 p.m. Puyallup officers found the vehicle later that day.

Aug. 13

– Officers fielded a noise complaint on Elmont Avenue around 12:41 a.m. The subject turned the music down.

– Police received a call about suspicious subjects on Porter Street and Davis Avenue around 1:21 a.m. Officers found a highly intoxicated woman who needed aid. She was eventually released to family.

– Offices took a dog hit by a car on Kibler Avenue and Florence Street to an animal hospital around 9:13 a.m.

– Police were dispatched to Roosevelt Avenue to a report of a subjects causing a disturbance with a knife around 7:39 p.m. The subject was gone by the time officers arrived, and could not be located.

Aug. 14

– Officers received a report of an injured subject in the Railroad Street alleyway around 12:54 a.m. Aid also responded and the subject was taken to St. Elizabeth Hospital.

– A traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue and Loraine Street resulted in the driver being arrested for DUI. The driver was released to a parent.

– Police received a report of a subject using a personal flying vehicle on SE 456th Way and creating issues around 7:02 a.m. Officers contacted the subject and cleared the scene.

Aug. 15

– A two-vehicle collision on Roosevelt Avenue and Watson Street around 11:08 a.m. resulted in one driver being cited.

Aug. 16

– A traffic stop on Lafromboise Street and Griffin Avenue around 2:17 a.m.resulted in a DUI

– Officers were called to Cottonwood Drive around 6:12 p.m. to a CPR in progress. Aid also responded, and EMS transported the subject.

– Police responded to a custody dispute on Semanski Street around 10:32 p.m. Both parties were provided options for the night. Officers followed up the next day and cited the father.

Aug.18

– Officers received a report of a suspicious subject around parked vehicles on Watson Street around 12:03 a.m. Police arrived and one subject fled the area; another was under the influence and picked up by a sober driver.

– Police stopped a subject on Warner Avenue around 4:47 a.m. and arrested them for a warrant.

BLACK DIAMOND

Aug. 8

– Officers were dispatched to Roberts Drive around 12:46 p.m. to a report of a dog bite. King County Regional Animal Services also responded.

– Police were called out to 232nd Avenue to a theft report around 12:54 p.m. Officers were given surveillance footage of a guest removing property from the house.

– Officers responded to a fire report behind a business around 6:16 p.m. A subject told officers it was a small fire and they already put it out.

Aug. 9

– Police were notified of a found knife at the Lake Sawyer boat launch around 11 a.m. Officers took possession.

Aug. 11

– Officers learned the Black Diamond police boat was partially submerged in Lake Sawyer around 11:03 a.m. Police found the boat with the stern completely underwater. Public Works and a water pump helped police remove the boat out of the lake.

Aug. 13

– Police fielded a noise complaint on 3rd Avenue around 9:15 p.m. They found the music was extremely loud, and police advised the noise be turned down or risk citation. The owner of the property was also contacted and informed of the ongoing issue.
