Plateau Police Blotter | Feb. 1 – March 9

A traveling bar fight in Enumclaw, a Black Diamond juvie smoking weed, and a motorcycle going 120 mph in Buckley.

ENUMCLAW

March 4

– Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle at the Brown Bear car wash around 2 a.m. The car took off when officers attempted contact, but police discovered the registered owner had a felony warrant out of Alaska and attempted to make contact again. This time, the driver disregarded officers when he was told he was not free to leave, and left anyway. Officers later found out the warrant was statewide-only extradition.

– Officers were called to Roosevelt Avenue around 10 p.m. for a domestic dispute in progress. One subject was arrested for assault.

March 5

– Police learned of a fight that started at the Ski Inn and had moved toward Seeder’s around 12:15 a.m. The fight had disbanded before officers arrived.

– Officers responded to a possible egging on Battersby Avenue around 7:30 p.m. There was no evidence of an egging.

– Police were called out to Myrtine Street around 11 p.m. regarding a domestic dispute in progress. One subject was arrested and booked for assault.

March 6

– Officers were dispatched to St. Elizabeth Hospital around 12:15 a.m. due to a report of a patient assaulting a staff member.

March 7

– A Mountain View Drive resident told officers around 4 p.m. that three generators were stolen overnight. A report was taken.

March 8

– A welfare check on Wells Street around 9:30 a.m. resulted in an arrest on Bonney Lake charges; the subject was booked in the Enumclaw jail.

March 9

– Officers were called to Stevenson Avenue around 7:30 a.m. due to a subject setting up camp on the side of the reporting party’s building; the subject was trespassed.

– Police were dispatched to SE 427th Street for a stolen package report around 4 p.m. The reporting party showed officers security footage, and police were able to identify the suspect. They were later arrested for theft.

BLACK DIAMOND

Feb. 28

– Officers responded to a one-vehicle crash on 3rd Avenue and Jones Lake Road about 8 a.m. The driver attempted to pass in a no-passing zone, lost control of the car, and collided with an embankment. Though they had no injuries, the car was inoperable. The driver was given an infraction for speeding and passing inappropriately.

– Police were again dispatched to 3rd Avenue and Jones Lake Road at 9 a.m. regarding a two-vehicle crash. It appears vehicle one, going north, stopped to make a left turn; vehicle two failed to notice vehicle one had stopped, and crashed into it. This driver was given an infraction for inattentive driving.

March 2

– Officers spotted a stolen vehicle on SE Fir Street around3:15 a.m. A suspect was taken into custody and booked into jail with felony charges while the vehicle returned to the owner.

March 3

– Officers contacted a juvenile woman parked on Lake Sawyer Road around 10:45 p.m. It was quickly determined the girl and the other occupants of the car had been smoking pot; the father of the girl was called to take custody of his daughter and drive the car home.

March 4

– Police were dispatched to Pacific Street around 3 p.m. for suspicious subjects in the area. Turns out, it was just the property owner giving prospective buyers a tour.

March 6

– Officers were dispatched to Roberts Drive around 7 p.m. regarding a car vs. deer collision. Both the car and the deer had departed by the time police arrived.

– Officers received a report of an erratic driver on 224th Avenue around 8:30 p.m. Police were able to stop the vehicle, and the driver told officers she was having trouble with her contact lenses. She did not appear to be intoxicated or under the influence, so she was let off with a warning.

BUCKLEY

Feb. 1 – 8

– Officers assisted a citizen performing CPR on a subject who overdosed; the patient was resuscitated and taken to the hospital, but died a few days later.

– Police were dispatched to a suspicious vehicle and subjects at 410 Auto Wrecking. After realizing officers weren’t buying their story for why they were there, they took off at a high rate of speed. Officers did not pursue, and could not determine if a crime was committed.

Feb. 9 – 15

– Officers performed a welfare check on a female subject at the Econolodge; the woman was extremely high and manic, and admitted to smoking meth laced with fentanyl. She voluntarily went to the hospital for evaluation.

– Officers came across a suspicious U-Haul traveling on North River Avenue; the back door was open and full of pallets. Police attempted to stop the vehicle, but it fled, and officers did not pursue due to Washington law. The vehicle was found later in Pierce County, abandoned and empty.

– Officers were called to help a man who overdosed on heroin; the man was revived with two doses of Narcan before aid arrived. He declined medical aid.

Feb. 16 – 23

– Officers attempted to stop a motorcycle rider who was traveling at 120 mph. The rider did not stop for officers, and police did not pursue.

Feb. 24 – 28

– Officers responded to possible shots fired, possibly from a Chevy Tahoe seen traveling toward Enumclaw; police were unable to locate the car or evidence of gunfire. Another report of shots came in the next morning, this time around the Log Show grounds. Officers did locate four .223 shell casings.

– Officers were dispatched to a South B Street residence for a disturbance. According to the home owner, someone was attempting to steal his truck; the suspect first punched the door lock, and then broke the ignition. However, they could not get the truck to move, because the battery was dead. The suspect then fled in a vehicle driven by another male subject; officers were unable to locate the vehicle.
