Plateau police blotter | Sept. 16 – 27

A DUI in Buckley, a suspect throwing grapes in Enumclaw, and a caught porch thief in Black Diamond.

BUCKLEY

Sept. 19

– Officers were flagged down on Olsen Avenue around 9:31 p.m. regarding a suspicious man who walked onto the reporting party’s deck. The reporting party turned on the deck light, and the suspect fled. Officers obtained camera footage of the incident, but were unable to locate them.

Sept. 20

– Police contacted a woman in front of a SR 410 hotel around 11:21 p.m. The woman was already trespassed from the area, so she was arrested.

– Officers were able to contact a woman’s neighbors after she backed up her car into their truck around 6:12 p.m.

Sept. 21

– Police were contacted by Enumclaw PD about a DUI driver heading their way. Officers found the vehicle and informed the drivers of the DUI report. It was determined there was probable cause for arrest at this time, and a report came back later showing the driver as 2.5 times over the legal limit.

ENUMCLAW

Sept. 16

– Police were called to Gamblin Motors around 3:55 p.m. after a car was stolen off the lot.

– Officers received a report of a theft from a Griffin Avenue business around 6:15 p.m.; they were told an item was taken under threat of pepper spray.

– Police met with the Auburn PD to pick up a subject with an Enumclaw warrant around 11:05 p.m.

Sept. 17

– Officers arrested a male subject on Noble Fir Circle around 1:12 a.m. for domestic violence.

– Police responded to a two motor vehicle collision on Warner Avenue and Watson Street around 11:09 a.m. The drivers were injured and the cars blocking the road.

– Officers assisted state patrol with identifying some dogs on SE 448th Street and Farrelly Street around 5:22 p.m. The dogs could not be identified, and police stayed in the area until animal control arrived.

– Police responded to a domestic dispute on Chinook Avenue around 7:47 p.m. This was an ongoing issue with the female subject, who was not supposed to be in contact with the other party. Officers pulled her over later and reminded her protection order and not to return to the Chinook Avenue residence.

Sept. 18

– Officers helped out with a dead motorcycle battery on Myrtle Avenue around 11:20 a.m. The bike still wouldn’t start after a jump.

– Police helped a citizen who came to the lobby locate her vehicle around 11:29 a.m.

Sept. 19

– A traffic stop on Semanski Street and Warner Avenue resulted in the arrest of the driver on a Black Diamond warrant and driving with a suspended license around 7:34 a.m.

– A rock on SR 410 and Warner Avenue was causing a traffic hazard; officers removed the rock around 4:52 p.m.

– A sex offense report was taken around 7:30 p.m.

– A 911 hangup sent officers to Roosevent Avenue to check on a disturbance around 11:58 p.m. Police were able to calm the subject down and get them some warm clothes for the night.

Sept. 20

– Officers received a report of an animal bite that happened a few days earlier around 4:15 p.m. Police made contact with the reporting party on Warner avenue but found no evidence of a bite.

Sept. 21

– Police came across two suspicious vars at the Brown Bear Car Wash around 12:37 a.m. The occupants were advised of their warrants and left the area.

– Officers teamed up with the Buckley PD for a DUI arrest on 4th Street around 1:52 a.m.

– Police received a report of someone throwing grapes at the reporting party’s car on Scandia Avenue and Johnson Street around 4:59 a.m. Officers contacted the subject and arrested them on an Enumclaw warrant.

– A manager at Subway asked police to trespass a former employee around 12:09 p.m.

Sept. 22

– A traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue around 2:28 a.m. resulted in the driver fleeing officers in the car after they were identified. Charges were mailed to the subject.

Sept. 23

– Officers found a stolen vehicle on Warner Avenue around 12:20 a.m.; the owner was informed.

– Police were contacted about a suspicious vehicle on Terry Lane around 11:58 a.m. Officers contacted the driver, who worked for a communications company and was doing some testing.

– Officers received a report of an unwanted subject on Rainier Avenue around 4:37 p.m. The reporting party wanted the subject trespassed. Police located the subject at another business and successfully trespassed them

Sept. 24

– Police assisted with a vehicle lockout on Initial Avenue around 5:22 p.m.

Sept. 25

– Officers were able to wrangle a loose dog on Carley Place around 2:52 a.m. and brought it to the station. Police were able to contact the owner and return the dog.

Sept. 26

– Police received a report of a man leaving his firearm at Tractor Supply around 9:27 a.m. The gun was not initially found, but was located later by the reporting party.

– Officers were contacted about a known individual potentially drinking in public on Railroad street around 8:46 p.m. The subject was just drinking ginger ale.

– A traffic stop on Roosevelt Avenue around 10:18 p.m. resulted in a warrant arrest and new charges for driving with a suspended license.

Sept. 27

– Police received a report of someone’s mother being scammed for a large sum of money around 12:12 p.m.

BLACK DIAMOND

Sept. 19

– Officers were contacted by the EPD around 7:51 a.m. about an inmate at the Enumclaw jail who was about to be released, but also had a Black Diamond warrant. Police confirmed the warrant and the subject re-arrested and booked.

Sept. 22

– Police received notice around 12:17 a.m. that a victim of a porch theft wanted to be contacted by phone. Officers gathered information and located the suspect, who confessed and was arrested.

Sept. 23

– Officers were dispatched to Roberts Drive around 8:08 a.m. regarding a vehicle on its side and blocking the westbound lane. The driver did not appear impaired or injured, and the car was towed.

Sept. 25

– Police were called to the Black Diamond post office around 1:43 p.m. regarding some malicious mischief. Officers observed the outgoing mail receptacle had been damaged, with its door being ripped off from the wall and exposing the mail room behind it. A postal inspector took over the case.

– Officers received a report of a subject yelling at kids on 3rd Avenue around 7:20 p.m. Police contacted the subject’s mother, who said he was having some mental health issues. The mother contacted officers later to tell them her son returned home and was now calm.
