Enumclaw

INFORMATION ONLY

• An officer responded to a Warner Avenue address Thursday morning regarding an issue that occurred the evening before between two tenants. The officer spoke with the apartment manager and one of the tenants and advised that the trouble was a civil issue, not a police matter.

DISTURBANCE

• Police were asked Thursday afternoon to check the legality of a demonstration taking place in front of the Enumclaw post office. An officer determined there was no violation.

HARASSMENT

• An Enumclaw girl reported Thursday she was being harassed by three Bonney Lake girls, who left her phone messages. She denied bothering the Bonney Lake girls, two of whom were former friends. An officer left messages with the trio, advising them to stop making calls.

JUVENILE TROUBLE

• One male and one female were on school property shortly after 10 p.m. Thursday and were refusing to leave. After contact by police, they agreed to depart the Semanski Street address.

BURGLARY

• An officer responded the evening of Oct. 7 to a Garfield Street residence following the report of a residential burglary. Contact was made and a report was taken.

DOMESTIC SITUATION

• An altercation between a mother and son had police responding to a Scandia Avenue address shortly before midnight Oct. 7. The son had returned home and, during the course of an argument with his mother, had grabbed her arm and ripped her shirt. He left the home prior to the officer’s arrival and was not immediately located. A domestic violence report was taken.

STOLEN PROPERTY

• An officer escorted a female Oct. 6 to a Tacoma pawn shop to identify and retrieve stolen property.

PARKING VIOLATION

• Police were told Oct. 5 of two vehicles that had been parked on Myrtine Street for several months without being moved. An officer responded and marked the automobiles, the first step in the citation process.

UNWANTED GUESTS

• Police heard from a parent Oct. 5 who told of unwanted adult children at a Cole Street address who were refusing to leave. Upon police arrival and contact with all concerned, the subjects agreed to leave the residence.

FRAUD

• A citizen told Enumclaw police Oct. 6 of a fraud attempt discovered on Craigslist. The caller had posted an item for sale and received a check, which was discovered to be fraudulent. A report was taken and the caller was told how to forward the matter to the FBI fraud unit.

THREATS MADE

• A Wells Street resident told police Oct. 5 of threats being from a juvenile neighbor. An officer provided information about obtaining an anti-harassment order.

Buckley

BAR FIGHT

• Buckley police were dispatched to the scene of a Church Street bar fight in Wilkeson at a little after midnight Sunday. When the officer arrived, he contacted a man sitting on the ground obviously exhibiting effects of having consumed liquor. The man had a bump on his head, but explained to the officer that he had just fallen down and did not wish to be a victim. The officer advised the man to seek medical attention for his injury and cleared the scene.

DUI AND MIP

• A driver was pulled over for speeding at the corner of Naches Street and Balm Avenue at 2:10 a.m. Sunday. The driver was discovered to be under the influence and the passenger was found to be a minor in possession of alcohol. Both were booked into the Buckley jail and the vehicle, which did not belong to the driver, was towed.

LOOKING FOR A FIGHT

• A little before 2 a.m. Saturday, police were dispatched to a disturbance at a tavern on state Route 410. When the officer arrived several witnesses notified him that there had been no fight, but that a highly intoxicated female was looking to start one and was being a general nuisance. The establishment’s operators asked that she be trespassed from the property.

PORTA-POTTY DAMAGED

• Saturday evening, someone caused $300 in damage by removing the door from the portable restroom at the Buckley Skate Park on River Avenue. The police interviewed several young people, but there were no suspects or witnesses to the damage.

THEFT REPORTED

• A 73-year old Perkins Street resident called to report that her house had been robbed. When officers arrived, the woman told police the thieves had gained access to the interior of the home by breaking a window and that several items of jewelry were missing. There were no witnesses or suspects, but officers took photographs of the damage and sent them in with the report to investigations.
