• A female caller told police Friday evening she was physically assaulted by another female, specifically that the other person had grabbed her by the hair. Police determined the altercation stemmed from property in the Lafromboise Street home. The caller made arrangements to move from the residence and left with a relative.

SEVERAL CHARGES

• A Saturday night traffic stop on Blake Street resulted in the driver taken into custody for driving under the influence and resisting arrest; it was also discovered he had an outstanding arrest warrant issued by Enumclaw Municipal Court. Eventually, pepper spray was employed but the man continued refusing to cooperate.

HORSING AROUND

• Police responded at 2:48 a.m. Friday to a call of horses running loose on state Route 169. The owner was located and returned the animals to their pasture.

SUSPICIOUS

• A bartender at a Railroad Street business told police Friday night he was concerned about a patron possibly carrying a handgun. The man was not causing trouble but the bartender thought he had been involved in some drug activity. The subject departed before police could arrive.

JEWELRY HEIST

• At 8 a.m. Friday, police were dispatched to a Mason Avenue residence where two pieces of expensive jewelry had reportedly been stolen. When police arrived, homeowners said someone had entered their dwelling through a side door and proceeded to their bedroom, where the jewelry was taken. Officers completed the report and forwarded it to investigations for follow-up.

MARIJUANA BUST

• A 30-year-old female was pulled over for a traffic violation on the corner of state Route 410 and Park Avenue Thursday evening and gave consent to have her car searched. The woman was placed under arrest and issued a criminal citation after the inspection turned up unlawful drug paraphernalia and less than 40 grams of marijuana. After receiving the criminal citation the woman was released at the scene and the evidence was secured into a locker at the Buckley police department.

SIT, FIDO

• Officers responded to a noninjury vehicle accident Thursday on the corner of Norma Street and Mountain Circle Drive. The driver had been distracted by a pet, drove over the curb, smacked into a fire hydrant and came to a halt after hitting a tree trunk. Neither the driver nor the pet sustained injuries.
