POLICE BLOTTER

NO CONTACT

• Police responded Nov. 17 to a Grand Fir Drive address after learning that a no-contact order had been violated via text messaging. An officer went to a Buckley address and, after failing to locate the suspect, mailed a citation.

ARREST MADE

• A neighborhood dispute in the Wells Street vicinity had police responding Nov. 16. After talking with the parties involved, it was determined the caller had an outstanding arrest warrant and he was taken to the police station for booking. The dispute was found to be verbal only, to be handled by the landlord.

SHOPLIFTING

• Employees of a Cole Street shop reported the theft of a $200 pair of jeans Nov 16. A suspect had gone into a dressing room and, when she left the store, the jeans were missing. Employees provided a description but police were unable to locate the suspect.

TOO LOUD

• Officers responded about 11:30 p.m. Nov. 16 to a loud party at a Warner Avenue address. Partiers were told to keep quiet and one person was taken into custody on an arrest warrant.

PALLET THEFT

• An employee of a Roosevelt Avenue business reported the theft of a large amount of pallets from the outside of the store. A vehicle was identified and an officer was able to make contact with a suspect, who agreed to return the pallets. He agreed to keep away from the business for one year so prosecution was declined.

HOSPITAL ALERT

• Police were called to Enumclaw Regional Hospital the morning of Nov. 13 after a man refused to check in and went directly to one of the rooms. New security procedures require that visitors first check in with staff. The man was contacted by police, who reiterated the hospital policy.
