SUSPICIOUS
• A Warner Avenue resident notified police at 2:40 a.m. Thursday after hearing a noise in her attic. Officers checked the area and found nothing.
THEFT
• An officer contacted a theft victim shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday regarding a ring reportedly taken at Enumclaw High School.
WARRANT ARREST
• An officer responded to a report of a female being detained on an Everett (Wash.) Police Department warrant. The woman was arrested and transported to the Enumclaw station.
ASSAULT
• A complainant contacted police Thursday morning wishing to file an assault report. The victim was not injured. Contact was made and a report was taken for informational purposes only.
HIT AND RUN
• An officer responded to the vicinity of Kibler Avenue and Loraine Street Thursday morning after learning of a hit-and-run incident involving a semi and a utility pole. The suspect vehicle was said to be heading west on state Route 164 so the Washington State Patrol was notified.
VANDALISM
• A small motorcycle was being ridden Thursday evening at Martin Johnson Park, tearing up the turf. The rider departed just prior to an officer’s arrival. The area was checked with no luck.
DOG BITE
• Police responded shortly before 11 p.m. Thursday to a Griffin Avenue address following the report of a dog bite incident. The victim declined aid and the officer took a report that was to be filed with King County Animal Control.
DOMESTIC DISPUTE
• King County authorities received a 911 “hang up” call at 3:01 a.m. June 10. Upon making a return call, a woman stated that her boyfriend would not leave her Enumclaw apartment and had been pushing her. City officers responded to the Watson Street address, contacted a suspect and booked him into jail for interfering with a 911 call.
JUST YELLING
• Police responded to a Griffin Avenue location at 4:37 a.m. June 10 after getting a report of a loud argument taking place between a man and a woman in a parking lot. An officer determined the two were not fighting, just yelling; they were advised to be quiet.
THREAT MADE
• A group of males approached a woman June 10 and told her they were going to assault her boyfriend. The report was given “information only” status.
SUSPICIOUS
• Two men traveling in a red Honda Civic reportedly stopped at 11:20 p.m. June 10 and were wandering around the exterior of a Griffin Avenue building, attempting to open doors. Officers made contact and advised the men to stay away from businesses that are closed.
PATIENT TROUBLE
• Officers responded to a Battersby Avenue address at 12:30 a.m. June 8 after hearing of two patients threatening each other. It was reported that one of the patients mentioned getting a gun. While speaking to one of the involved parties, the other departed the hospital, having been released by a doctor.
JOGGER STARTLED
• A jogger reported being startled by someone coming out of the bushes in the vicinity of Porter Street and McHugh Avenue at 10:50 a.m. June 8. The description of the suspect matched the description given following an incident earlier in the day. An officer checked the area and found nothing.
ASSAULT
• On June 8, a victim reported being assaulted the vicinity of Warner Avenue and Semanski Street. The assault reportedly occurred at 2:15 a.m. June 7 and was instigated by suspects unknown to the victim.
PHONE THEFT
• A theft victim arrived at the police station lobby the afternoon of June 8, reporting that a cell phone had been taken while the victim was at Enumclaw High School. Police took a report and advised the school.
ATTEMPT TO LOCATE
• Police were told at 9:30 p.m. June 8 of a possibly intoxicated driver in the vicinity of state Route 164 and 224th. A Washington State Patrol air unit reported visual contact with the vehicle, which was registered to a resident of Myrtine Street in Enumclaw. An officer contacted the driver at home and learned that the driver has been sending text messages while driving. The driver was counseled about texting while operating a vehicle.
PARAPHERNALIA
• A traffic stop initiated at 12:24 a.m. June 5 resulted in a driver being arrested for reckless driving and possession of drug paraphernalia.
WORRIED RESIDENT
• A Bathke Avenue resident called police at 3:21 a.m. June 5, reporting that a neighbor thought she had seen someone in her bedroom. Officers checked the house inside and out, finding nothing out of the ordinary. The neighbor was escorted back to her residence, which was checked a second time.
Buckley
CLOSING TIME
• At 2:30 a.m. Monday a vehicle was traveling on Church Street in Wilkeson when an officer noticed that the car had a defective tail light. When the officer activated his emergency lights and pulled the vehicle over, the driver immediately confessed to being drunk. Standard field sobriety tests confirmed that and the man was processed for driving under the influence and booked into the Buckley jail.
HEATED DOMESTIC
• Early Sunday morning officers were called to the scene of Spiketon Road residence, where there was a loud domestic squabble going on and a call to the dispatcher had been reported as an unwanted person on the premises. As it turned out the unwanted person was the caller’s wife, who happened to live there. The couple had been arguing and each party wanted the other to leave. The wife called friends and agreed to stay with them until things cooled down.
SMOKE IN THE
BOY’S ROOM
• Officers were called to Glacier Middle School around noon Friday concerning a garbage can that had been set ablaze in the boy’s restroom earlier in the day. The supposed mischief was labeled a fairly serious offense, arson in the second degree. The case is under investigation.
WHERE’S MY CAR?
• Early Thursday morning, a Naches Street resident called police to report that her vehicle, which she told police had been locked, had been pilfered during the night. The Buckley Police Department notified the victim later that morning that the stolen vehicle had been set on fire and had been impounded by the Tacoma police. The case is under investigation.
SHOWN THE EXIT
• At 12:30 a.m. Thursday, police arrived at a Main Street bar where there was an unwanted guest. When officers showed up the female bartender explained to them that she had told the customer to hit the road and had pointed to the back door of the business. When police contacted the apparently drunk and disoriented man, they informed him that he was no longer welcomed and a male companion walked the man home with no further problems.
