BURGLARY

• Police responded to a burglary in progress at 176 Avenue East on March 20 at approximately 5:34 p.m. The 26-year-old female victim told officers she returned home and saw a van in her driveway and two males running from the house. The suspects got in the van and fled. Officers checked the residence to ensure nobody was inside and found it was empty. The front door was ajar and appeared to have been forced open. The rear sliding door was unlocked and open and items were missing from the entertainment center. The victim reported the driver of the van motioned for her to move her vehicle so he could drive around her. The case was forwarded to investigations.

CAR THEFT

• A 16-year-old female reported her vehicle stolen March 23. Police responded at 8:08 p.m. at 199th Ave. Ct. E. The missing vehicle was later located and had been taken by a 17-year-old acquaintance of the victim who was in possession of the spare key to the car. The 17-year-old was the only one driving the vehicle, but had apparently met with some friends who were skipping school that day. The 17-year-old was booked for vehicle theft.

PUBLIC INTOXICATION

• Police responded to a report of an intoxicated man harassing customers of a convenience store March 19. At 2:10 a.m. police contacted the 18-year-old male who was intoxicated from alcohol. Officers told the man to leave the area and a few minutes later, the man began to argue with employees of a nearby store. Officers again contacted him and he became “out of control.” The man did not have identification and stated he was from Sea-Tac. The man was transferred to the Buckley Jail and issued a citation for minor in consumption.

SUSPENDED LICENSE

• A 24-year-old male was arrested March 20 for driving while license suspended in third degree. At approximately 8:41 p.m. hours, he was officers on patrol smelled marijuana coming from the man’s vehicle when stopped. A routine check showed the man’s license was suspended in the third and there were five warrants for his arrest from Bonney Lake. The man was issued citations for unlawful possession of marijuana and an infraction for no splash aprons on his pickup truck.

ROAD RAGE

• A 21-year-old male reported a white van followed him into a parking lot on March 24 at 5:46 p.m. He reported a man got out of the van and challenged him to a fight while swearing at him. The 21-year-old man said he did not know why the man was upset and he drove off and reported the incident for informational purposes only.

BAR FIGHT

• On March 19 an individual reported going into a bar on East Valley Highway. An unknown male joined his group. When the group went out to smoke, a cab pulled up for the unknown male. When the reporting individual told him the cab was there, the male pointed a gun at him and after got into the cab, kept waving it around. Police checked the suspect’s name and found he had no license for a concealed weapon. Later that morning, detectives returned to investigate and found a car still parked in the lot. The car was registered to the same address police had on file for the suspect. Detectives also spotted an empty holster in the passenger seat. While they were there, the suspect returned to pick up his car. He was arrested and booked for assault.

MALICIOUS MISCHIEF

• On March 25 an individual in the 15500 block of Main Street reported that two women knocked on the window of the room where he was staying and broke the window. Officers found the two women nearby. One was kneeling on the ground while the other wasy trying to get her up. They thought that a friend was staying where they were knocking on windows. The officer tried to get the second woman up, and although she was breathing, she gave no response. Officers called for medical aid. While paramedics were getting ready to transport her, officers spotted signs of possible drug use. Her friend didn’t think she used drugs. They were cited for malicious mischief.
