OUT OF CONTROL: Police responded to St. Elizabeth Hospital at 12:35 a.m. June 30 following a report of an out-of-control patient. The subject was treated and released and the trouble was settled upon police contact.

EXPLOSION: A Marion Street resident notified police the evening of June 30 of an explosion that shook windows in the area. An officer found nothing out of the ordinary in the surrounding area. The blast was presumed to be from illegal fireworks.

WINDOWS SHOT: A Gossard Place resident told police June 30 that windows of a travel trailer had been shot out. There were no suspects.

HELP WITH FIRE: Officers responded the evening of June 30, providing traffic control while firefighters dealt with a brush fire on 244th Avenue Southeast.

PARROT DISPUTE: An African gray parrot escaped from its cage and was found June 29 by a neighbor, who turned the bird over to King County Animal Control. KCAC then handed the bird over to a third party, who claimed to be the owner. The upset reporting party was advised to follow up with KCAC and that determining ownership would be a civil issue, not a criminal one.

HIT AND RUN: A flatbed truck with a white cab was seen June 29 hitting a speed sign and cable box and then leaving northbound on Porter Street. An officer soon found the suspect vehicle on Harding Street and the driver admitted to damaging the sign. City crews were to put up a temporary sign and the driver agreed to pay for a permanent replacement.

SURRENDER: A man wanted on a Department of Corrections arrest warrant arrived at the police station the evening of June 29, turning himself in. He was booked into the Enumclaw jail and held without bail.

MULTIPLE WARRANTS: A traffic stop conducted the morning of June 28 turned up a motorist who was wanted on warrants issued by Buckley, Auburn and Bonney Lake. He also was found to be driving with a suspended license. He was book at the Enumclaw station and his vehicle was impounded.

FIGHT IN PARK: Police responded the afternoon of June 27 to a call regarding a fight between two teenage boys in Montgomery Park. The two departed shortly before police arrived, but one was located and taken into custody for being a minor in possession of alcohol. He was booked and released to a parent. The second teen could not be located.

GEAR STOLEN: Climbing gear valued at $200 was taken the morning of June 26 from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Garfield Street
