Officers were called to assist local fire department at a retirement home for an injured and intoxicated female on April 26. Officers made contact with the female, who had a contusion and a fresh laceration above her right eye, where she was bleeding.

POSSIBLE DUI: Officers were called to assist local fire department at a retirement home for an injured and intoxicated female on April 26. Officers made contact with the female, who had a contusion and a fresh laceration above her right eye, where she was bleeding. She said she fell off her car, which had damage done to the front. Based on statements by the female, whose speech was slurred, the officer decided to investigate a possible DUI. When asked for identification, the female briefly flashed her opened wallet at the officer, but the officer was not able to read it. The female refused to show the officer her identification any further. The female was placed on a gurney so she could be treated for her wounds, and was then transferred to a local hospital.

ENTERED A STRANGER’S GARAGE: An officer was driving his marked police car when they came across a large group of people standing near a local roadway on April 21. Once spotted, the group of people started to wave the officer down while pointing at a white male who standing on the roadway. Once approached, the male seemed to be intoxicated. The male who waved the officer down saw the white male on the sidewalk in front of his home who then entered into his garage. For safety reasons, the suspect was placed in handcuffs. The officer ran the suspects name through dispatch and it was found that he had multiple warrants in the area. The officer sat the suspect down on the sidewalk, who then started scream in pain and became very aggravated. When asked why he was in the man’s garage, he said he was just trying to go home. It was then determined that the suspect unlawfully entered the home and was given a PBT sample which tested at .191, which was too high of a reading to be arrested so he was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated.
