Puget Sound Energy crews are fanned out across the region Friday, working to restore power to more than 250,000 customers throughout Puget Sound.

According to an 1 p.m. Friday update, approximately 9,800 residents are still without power in Bonney Lake while there are still more than 4,000 residents in the dark in Sumner. In the Lake Tapps Community, PSE reports more than 3,400 still waiting for electricity to be turned back on.

PSE warns to stay clear of any downed power lines and to assume it is still dangerous. Residents who see a downed line should notify PSE at 1-888-225-5773 or call 911.

Given the magnitude of the damage caused by this week’s storms, PSE predicts many areas will remain out of power through the weekend, and some beyond. Better restoration information will be available as our crews are able to gain access to hard hit areas today. In addition, snow and ice-laden trees continue to have potential to cause new damage—and we are watching for expected strong winds tonight and into Saturday.
