The Prairie Ridge Coalition meeting is Monday, Dec. 14. The meeting time is 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The Prairie Ridge Coalition meeting is Monday, Dec. 14. The meeting time is 10 to 11:30 a.m. This should be a short meeting because we will not have a guest speaker.  I have attached the agenda.  Since many of you receive the emails, but do not attend, I wanted to encourage you to email me if you have any ideas, goals or feedback for going forward into 2016.

Coalition Projects & Activities

o   Seeking new church partner for 4th Wednesdays in 2016 to provide dinner

o   After School youth art program on Tuesday afternoons from 4-6:30. Volunteers needed.  Target start date is January 19th.

o   Youth Holiday Craft Party was Saturday, December 5th.  127 people attended and 31 volunteers participated.  72 kids were able to shop for a gift for someone special.   A special thanks to WonGen Central for donating so many prizes and Santa Shop items, Lynette Fisher for organizing really unique crafts and Teresa Parks for setting up and volunteering for 2 days.  Thank you to community organizations:  LTCC Preschool, Laurie & Rebecca; Building Without Borders, Sue Hart; Bonney Lake Library, Lauren Murphy; Bonney Lake High School Key Club & GMS Builders Club;  Lions 4 kids and others for donating cold weather items; Tracy Holmes for being Santa and his “Elf”, Emily; Molen Orthodontics, for candy.

o   Mom’s group meets the first Tuesday of each month at Prairie Ridge CSC at 10 AM.  We had 8 moms, 14 kids and 2 volunteers attend the second meeting.

o    New girls craft group began on Wednesday, 12/9.  7 girls attended.

o   We have raised about $840 towards playhouse fund for spring!

Next Meeting:  Monday, Jan. 11 (2nd Monday) at Prairie Ridge Community Service Center.
