Attached: The March 2013 edition of the NE Pierce Resource Guide that I send out quarterly. Please consider making this guide available on your organization’s website and contact me with any changes or updates. Discard any older copies as this information is constantly changing. Share widely 🙂

Big Announcement: You will notice on the list below that there is a free community dinner EVERY Wednesday at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall starting in April (except the 5th Wednesday currently). These dinners are open to the public and are considered a community feeding program. Dinners are sponsored by different organizations and supported by volunteers and contributions. Dinner service is typically 6:00 – 6:45. A family friendly activity follows until approximately 7:30.
Prairie Ridge Events and Activities:
Wed., 3/20 – Free Lasagna Dinner sponsored by Foothills United Methodist Church. Family game time follows. Free at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall beginning at 6pm.
Wed., 3/27 – Free Chicken Parmesan Dinner sponsored by Communities In Schools of Orting. Family games, bingo, or Easter crafts will follow. Free at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall beginning at 6pm.
Sat. 3/30 – EASTER BRUNCH from 9am – 11am at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall. Sponsored by the Bonney Lake High School Key Club. Easter crafts and activities follow and the Easter Bunny will be there too! Sorry, no egg hunt.
Wed. 4/3 – Free Community Dinner (menu TBD) sponsored by Room At Our Table. Family karaoke follows. Free at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall beginning at 6pm.
Wed. 4/10 – COMMUNITY SAFETY NIGHT AND FREE DINNER at the Prairie Ridge Rec Hall beginning at 6pm. “Breakfast for Dinner” sponsored by the Bonney Lake Nazarene Church. At 6:45, Safe Streets and Judy Holly from the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department will be there to address community safety concerns and crime.

WANTED: A group to sponsor a community dinner on Wednesday, May 29th at the Rec Hall. Assistance and some volunteers provided!!
Announcements:
Thursday, March 21st is the annual Sumner/Bonney Lake Community Summit “Igniting Positive Change” at the Bonney Lake High School beginning at 3 pm with the pre-summit. By attending the Summit, you will gain information about local issues, be inspired to take action, and be meaningfully involved in creating solutions to tough topics. Each breakout group is designed to produce outcomes and will prompt community action. Don’t miss this opportunity to be a part of igniting positive change! Register today at http://bit.ly/ViryjV – Pre-registration for the event is required. There is no charge for the Pre-Summit or Summit events.
Mondays, beginning April 15th for 6 weeks – Strengthening Families free parenting workshop at Bonney Lake Elementary School – for families with children ages 9 to 12 years. Free dinner and free childcare. Youth curriculum provided for ages 9 – 14.
