Today Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist charged John Graff, 56, with five counts of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit, for viewing more than 100,000 images of child pornography on his computer. The defendant was arraigned at 1:30 p.m. today in room 270 of the County-City Building in Tacoma. Bail was set at $500,000.

On Mar, 19, Puyallup Police began an investigation after receiving a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC). The cyber tip was reported by Microsoft Skydrive regarding an account they discovered using the defendant’s name that had potential images of child pornography from February 28, 2014. Many of the images contained previously identified victims, and all were classified as child pornography. The images depict young children in various states of undress, and most are engaged in sexual activity with adults.

“Cooperation between Microsoft, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Puyallup Police lead to this arrest,” said Prosecutor Mark Lindquist.

On Mar. 25, a search warrant was issued so detectives could obtain the defendant’s IP address, subscriber information and the entire contents of his OneDrive account.

Police served a search warrant at the defendant’s home on May 14. He was arrested and booked into Pierce County Jail.

Charges are only allegations and a person is presumed innocent unless he or she is proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
