Regional Animal Services now hosts Pasado’s Spay Station twice a week

Low-cost spay/neuter surgeries offered every Wednesday and Friday

Regional Animal Services of King County (RASKC) is partnering with Pasado’s Safe Haven and South County Cats to bring Pasado’s Mobile Spay Station to the Pet Adoption Center twice a week.

“There’s no good reason not to spay or neuter your pet,” said Dr. Gene Mueller, manager of Regional Animal Services. “Altered pets are generally healthier, and less likely to run away from home or fight with other animals. Plus, license fees for spayed and neutered pets are much lower than for unaltered pets.”

Every Wednesday and Friday, Pasado’s Spay Station will offer low-cost spay and neuter surgeries to income-qualified residents of King County. Intakes begin at 7 a.m. each day. Space is limited, so if a pet owner cannot be accommodated on a particular day, Pasado’s will arrange for another day. The Spay Station will be located at the RASKC Pet Adoption Center, 21615 64th Ave. S. in Kent.

Fees for spay/neuter surgery are:

• male cat      $35

• female cat   $50

• male dog     $75

• female dog  $85

Other services, such as microchipping, worming, and vaccinations, are also available at the time of surgery for a low fee. For complete details, income guidelines, and instructions, visit www.pasadosafehaven.org/spay-station or call Pasado’s Safe Haven at 360-793-9393.

For a limited time, cat spay and neuter surgeries are free for income-qualified residents who live in a RASKC-contracted city in south King County (Black Diamond, Covington, Enumclaw, Kent, Maple Valley, SeaTac, and Tukwila) or unincorporated areas of south King County. The surgeries are paid for by South County Cats.
