SEFNCO Communications of Buckley will volunteer heavy equipment, personnel and time to assist with this year’s Beautify Bonney Lake event.
This year’s sixth annual event is 9 a.m. to noon Sept. 19. Interested person can meet at the Bonney Lake Park and Ride to receive a free T-shirt and work assignments. Lunch will be provided
A Panther-Cake breakfast will be provided from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. to benefit Bonney Lake High athletics.
Projects currently identified to be worked on include:
• Crystal Meadows – deconstruct an existing storm water pond and rebuild it into a native planted natural stormwater area.
• Moriarty Park – clean up and restore a historic garden area.
• Fennel Creek Trail – clean up and restoration.
• Ken Simmons Park bio-swale – clean out existing rocks and rebuild into a native planted natural stormwater filtration system.
• Clean up along Old-Sumner-Buckley-Hwy and along Main Street
• Working with the Sky Island Homeowners Association to plant trees along the main thoroughfare.
