Officers conducted a tobacco sale compliance check on Sept. 12. The aide, who was underaged, had an ID that identified them as a minor. The aide was able to buy cigarettes from a Bonney Lake grocery store because the clerk did not check the aide’s ID . The clerk was cited for selling tobacco to a minor.

DRINKING WHILE DRIVING: Officers were dispatched for a possible DUI on Sept. 12. The driver was a minor who was drinking out of a beer bottle while driving. A voluntary portable breath test showed the minor has a blood alcohol content of zero percent. The beer was emptied and the minor cited.
