Shelby DeVol’s Letter:

“First of all, I want to send an enormous thank you to everyone who has supported me on my running for Enumclaw City Council. I am blown away with the camaraderie of this town and the candidate’s respect shown to each other as I watch the race come down to the wire. The entire process of campaigning has introduced me to some amazing people in this town and the great things our community does to keep the high-quality of life we are so blessed to have.

After a few weeks of critically thinking and praying, I have come to realize that some recently big changes in my life must take priority over City Council candidacy. I strongly desire to serve the community with my experience, knowledge, and passion, but I know City Council is something that must wait at this point in time.

I understand this statement is announced close to voting day, but it is important to me that I am honest to the public about my thoughts and decisions once they are made. If anyone has any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Again, thank you so much for considering me for Enumclaw City Council and taking the time to know me, and I dearly hope to serve you in the future!”
