After hearing of a shoplifting incident, police responded Dec. 29 to a Monroe Avenue business. Suspects were arrested both for theft and on local warrants. They were taken to the station for booking and order to keep away from the business.

ARRESTS MADE: After hearing of a shoplifting incident, police responded Dec. 29 to a Monroe Avenue business. Suspects were arrested both for theft and on local warrants. They were taken to the station for booking and order to keep away from the business.

UNWANTED: Police were alerted at 1:41 a.m. Dec. 28 by a Myrtine Street resident who reported an unwanted person was standing outside an apartment door. The suspect was arrested and booked due to violating a court order.

HARASSMENT: A man arrived at the police station lobby at 7:05 a.m. Dec. 28, reporting he was being harassed by an ex-girlfriend who had followed him to the station. She departed before police could make contact. The man said he would be obtaining a no-contact order through the court.

JANUARY 4: Officers dealt with an intoxicated driver who was stopped at 6:24 p.m. at state Route 410 and Mundy Loss Road. Others calls involved an alleged assault at Rainier School, along with traffic stops and follow-ups.

JANUARY 3: Police responded shortly after noon to a motor vehicle accident on Main Street that did not result in injuries. There also were a pair of calls for medical assistance that were forwarded to the fire department.
