Rock blasting will close Interstate 90 east of Snoqualmie Pass four nights next week. Drivers need to plan for added travel time due multiple lane closures through the corridor.
The Washington State Department of Transportation and contractor crews will close I-90 at 7:30 p.m. for about an hour each night Monday, June 9 through Thursday, June 12. During rock blasting closures, eastbound drivers will be stopped at Gold Creek (milepost 56) and westbound drivers will be stopped at Price Creek (milepost 61).
Multiple lane closures eastbound from Denny Creek (milepost 47) to the Hyak vicinity (milepost 55) could cause drivers delays at night Monday through Friday. During the day, drivers may experience delays due to a single lane eastbound closure through the same location.
Intermittent rolling slowdowns are planned Monday through Friday during the day three miles east of the Snoqualmie Pass Summit around Keechelus Lake.
