Drivers will soon see a permanently reduced speed limit along a nearly three-mile section of State Route 410 in Bonney Lake. Crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will install new speed limit signs along the highway next week.

The reduced speed limit will extend on SR 410 from west of Myers Road East at milepost 12.9 to 214th Avenue East at milepost 15.7. The 45 mph speed limit in that area will be reduced to 40 mph when new signs are posted Tuesday, April 1.

The city of Bonney Lake requested the reduced speed limit to create a consistent speed through the corridor to help decrease speed-related collisions.  The lower speed will be enforceable as soon as the signs are installed.
