The Sumner Police Department has partnered with Safe Streets and Pierce County Aging & Disability Resources to host a presentation. They will focus on simple things that older adults and people with disabilities can do to maintain their personal safety at home as well as out and about.

Crime and the fear of crime create special problems for seniors and people with disabilities. Crime prevention is everyone’s responsibility. Older adults and people with disabilities need to take extra care to be safe. Whether at home, out and about, shopping or driving, there are simple things people can do to make sure they are safe.
