The Sumner Pierce County Library will host free Read with a Dog programs on the following dates and times:

Wednesdays, from 3 to 4 p.m., Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12 and April 9

Fridays, from 4 to 5 p.m., Feb. 7 and 21, March 7 and 21, April 4 and 18, May 2 and 16

All dogs are registered through accredited therapy dog organizations.

Reminder:

All Pierce County libraries will close at 6 p.m. New Year’s Eve and remain closed in observance of New Year’s Day. Normal business hours will resume Jan. 2.

Library patrons will be able to access the Pierce County Library System website during the holiday.
