DOMESTIC DISPUTE
On July 23 at 10:42 p.m. a male subject flagged down an officer to advise that his ex-wife would be calling the police regarding a contact they had had. He advised that he was picking up their child in common for a fishing trip and had an argument with a female subject over his cell phone. The female subject advised that her ex-husband came up to her car window and began yelling at her about how he was going to get custody of the child. She drove away when the male subject continued the verbal assault. She also advised that he “flipped” her off. The child confirmed that the male subject did approach the car and the contact did not take place on the phone. The male subject was aware of an order of protection against him and also aware that he violated the order by having contact with the female subject. He was issued a criminal citation for order violation.
BURGLARY
On July 26 at approximately 12:45 a.m. officers responded to an alarm at the 900 block of Alder Avenue. Officers observed two white males fleeing the building, and were notified by a citizen that two subjects were running along the railroad tracks. A canine unit tracked down both subjects, who were found with stolen candy and cigarettes. The same property had been burglarized on two occasions in the same month. On both occasions, the subjects forced entry through the east door and the primary stolen items were cigarettes. Both subjects were arrested, charged with two counts of burglary, and transported to Remann Hall.
