Monday, October 8

Committee of the Whole – 9:30 a.m.

  • A motion confirming the appointment of David K. Chapman as the Director of the Office of Public Defense (Motion 2012-0260).

  • A motion regarding access to public transportation mobility for low-income populations; establishing an advisory committee for mobility to assist in the development of a new regional public transportation fare programs (Motion 2012-0381).

  • A resolution relating to the operations and finances of the King County Flood Control Zone District; adopting the District’s 2013 work program, budget, operating budget for King County, capital budget, six-year capital improvement program, oversight budget and opportunity fund project list; and authorizing improvements (Resolution No. FCD2012-09).

Tuesday, October 9

King County Ferry District Executive Committee – 9:30 a.m. *** Special meeting location*** The committee will meet in the Southwest Conference Room, 12th Floor, King County Courthouse

Items for Recommendation to the Board of Supervisors:

  • A resolution authorizing the chair of the King County Ferry District board to execute an interlocal agreement with King County related to the county providing passenger only ferry service, capital investment program implementation and operational support services to the district (Resolution No. FD2012-09).

  • A resolution relating to the operations and finances of the King County Ferry District and adopting the District’s 2013 property tax levy (Resolution No. FD2012-10).

  • A resolution relating to the operations and finances of the King County Ferry District and adopting the District’s 2013 budget and work plan (Resolution No. FD2012-11).

Budget and Fiscal Management Committee – 10:30 a.m. ***Special Meeting***

Committee members are scheduled to discuss and possibly recommend to the full council:

  • An ordinance related to a new multipurpose sports and entertainment facility authorizing the King County executive to execute a memorandum of understanding with the city of Seattle and ArenaCo and to execute an interlocal agreement with the city (Ordinance 2012-0388).
