Traffic on SR 410 and SR 167 to slow | Department of Transportation

Starting tonight, drivers using State Route 410 on-ramps to reach State Route 167 in Sumner may encounter slightly longer trips. Additional SR 167 ramp closures near Puyallup area also scheduled.

Starting tonight, drivers using State Route 410 on-ramps to reach State Route 167 in Sumner may encounter slightly longer trips. Additional SR 167 ramp closures near Puyallup area also scheduled.

The Washington State Department of Transportation bridge maintenance crews will begin a project to repair and replace a deteriorated bridge expansion joint on SR 167 near SR 410. During the latter half of the week, contractor crews working for

WSDOT will continue a summer paving project.

While the work will be completed during off-peak travel times, drivers can expect delays.

SR 410 lane closures between Sumner and Bonney Lake

Single-lane closures in both directions from 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 18-21. The lanes will reopen at 6 a.m.


Ramp closures


8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, July 18-20
  • Crews will close the westbound SR 410 on-ramp to northbound SR 167. A signed detour will be provided via southbound SR 167 and State Route 161 (North Meridian Avenue). The ramp will reopen at 4 a.m.each following morning.

11 p.m. Thursday and Friday, July 21-22
  • Westbound SR 410 on-ramp to southbound SR 167 and southbound SR 167 exit to westbound State Route 512 will close.
    • Ramps will reopen
      • 5 a.m. Friday, July 22
      • 7 a.m. Saturday, July 23

Signed detours will be provided.
