Truck stolen from Jefferson Avenue | Buckley Police Blotter

An officer was dispatched June 13 to a Jefferson Avenue address and a report of a stolen vehicle. A man told police his work truck had been stolen.

TOOLS TAKEN: A Rose Place resident told police June 17 someone had stolen tools and fishing gear from his truck. Also, gas had been siphoned from his tanks.

MINORS ARRESTED: A vehicle was stopped at 2:50 a.m. June 15 in the vicinity of state Route 162 and Mundy Loss Road due to improper lane use. Two females and a male were arrested for being minors in possession of alcohol. Another passenger was taken into custody due to outstanding arrest warrants. The driver was sober and was released at the scene, but received a traffic infraction.

WARRANT ARREST: A vehicle was stopped the evening of June 15 at SR 410 and Lower Cemetery Road due to an obscured license plate and damaged windshield. The female driver was found to be operating the vehicle while her license was suspended; she also was wanted on two outstanding arrest warrants. She was arrested and booked.

DRUNK DRIVER: A patrolling officer watched a vehicle swerve several times over the fog line on state Route 410, prompting a traffic stop at 1:24 a.m. June 14. The driver performed some voluntary tests and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence.

SUSPICIOUS: A backpack that was left behind in the Buckley court clerk’s office June 13 prompted a call to the police. The backpack was stored and the owner later arrived to claim the item.

MARIJUANA: An officer stopped a vehicle at 11:42 p.m. June 13 at state Route and Lower Cemetery Road due to expired tabs. A strong odor of marijuana came from the vehicle and the driver was arrested for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. He was later released at the scene, having received both an infraction and criminal citation.
