Underage possession of marijuana | Washington State Patrol blotter

At 7 p.m. March 13, a Tacoma man was stopped for traveling at 61 mph in a 45 zone on Southeast 400th Street. Approaching the vehicle, the trooper smelled the odor of marijuana, which the driver provided upon request. Because the driver was only 20 years old, he was cited for possession of marijuana and released.

The Washington State Patrol police blotter for the Enumclaw detachment:

SEVERAL CHARGES: An Enumclaw-area man was stopped the morning of March 14 on state Route 164 for driving 62 mph in a 50 zone. He failed sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI, driving with a suspended license and, because of a young child being in the vehicle, was also arrested for reckless endangerment. His blood-alcohol test was more than double the legal limit.

DRUNK DRIVER: An Auburn man was stopped at approximately 9:40 p.m. March 6 in the vicinity of state Route 410 and Semanski Street in Enumclaw for traveling at 56 mph in a 40 mph zone. He stated he had consumed a couple of drinks, refused sobriety tests and was arrested for DUI. His vehicle was impounded and he was booked into the Kent Jail on an outstanding warrant.

PREVIOUS OFFENDER: At approximately 1 p.m. March 3, the WSP received multiple calls about a possible impaired driver west on state Route 164. A trooper was able to stop the vehicle as it approached Enumclaw. The driver, an Enumclaw woman, was found to be impaired by drugs and arrested for DUI. The had multiple, prior DUI arrests and was booked into jail.
